Room Bonsai - PistachioDESCRIPTION: pistachio is an unpretentious evergreen subtropical tree with pinnate leaves and small brown-green grape-like flowers. Blooms in spring and early summer. Its fruits are spherical, turning red in autumn. In winter, they usually drop all their leaves once, but new ones appear within 14 days and grow quickly. LOCATION: sunny window, in full sun the plant has reddish shoots and young leaves, temperature 10 - 18oC. WATERING: the leathery leaves hold water well, so the watering does not have to be rich. It is advisable to let the soil dry out slightly before the next watering. FERTILIZATION: from April to October after 14 days, in winter after 6 weeks with liquid fertilizers. TRANSPLANTING: in the spring every second year. In smaller pots, the shoots will be shorter and the growth will be weak. SOIL: Substrate for bonsai Bonsai Master, or compost, peat, sand in a ratio of 1:1:1. CUTTING: during growth, we remove large leaves or part of them. SHAPING: pistachios have vertical growths, so the main branches need to be wired from June to October.
