Indoor Bonsai - Fraxinus uhdeii - Indoor AshDESCRIPTION: an evergreen sprawling tree with grey-brown bark, dark green pinnately larger leaves with five to nine lanceolate leaflets. As bonsai, they are grown mainly in Taiwan, they can tolerate even less watering, lots and lots of light. PLACEMENT: in an apartment on a sunny window, summering in the sun or semi-shade. Winter temperatures 16 - 24oC WATERING: after slight drying, water normally. FERTILIZATION: from March to September after 14 days, in winter after a month. TRANSPLANTING: every 2 years in the spring, at the same time shorten the roots SOIL: Bonsai Master bonsai substrate, or clay (akadama), peat, sand in a ratio of 1 : 1 : 1. With a larger proportion of heavy soil, the plants are more compact. CUTTING: year-round to 1 to 2 pairs of leaves. During growth, we can remove large leaves or part of them.
