Room-bonsai Camellia Camellia-euphlebiaCamellia is a genus of plants from the tea family. In Czech, part of the species is called camellia and part tea tree, because one of the representatives of this genus is used to make tea. They are tropical and subtropical evergreen trees and shrubs. Camellias are suitable for temperatures between 5-15 °C, hardy plants can even tolerate short-term mild frost, but not sudden changes in temperature. It is therefore an ideal flower for conservatories, cooler, but bright halls and corridors, glazed verandas, unheated or tempered rooms. Camellia needs enough diffused light, preferably in an east-facing window - direct sunlight is not suitable, however. In the spring, when it flowers, it is comfortable with gradual warming. FERTILIZER: from spring to autumn after 14 days, in winter once a month. TRANSPLANTING: in the spring after 3 years, carefully cut the roots. SOIL: Substrate for bonsai Bonsai Master, or clay, peat, sand 1 : 1 : 1. CUTTING: when 5 - 7 leaves grow, cut back to two leaves. SHAPING: with wire at any time as needed.
